I am converting a 2500 to a dually. I have swapped the dually axle and I have the adapters for the front. What I need now is... 16 nuts that hold the adapters on and 32 lugnuts that will work for the dually wheels. Are the 2500 lugnuts different than those of a dually? (ie: tapered rather than flat). Dodge wants $10 each. A quick inquiry to a couple local junk yards was not very promising. For some reason, they all seemed to have little interest in helping. Any suggestions or known sources would be appreciated. Thanks, Trey

Les Schwab will sell lugnuts. I've bought some for a friend in the past. There's also another tire dealer in Tacoma, Evergreen Tire & Wheel.

For a 3/4 ton, I think a full set was about $45.

Believe I still still have a set of tapered lug from a 2500 CTD 4x4----PM me if you need 'em, I'm sure can we do better than $10 a piece

Thanks, for the suggestions. I'll try another Les Schwab and Genos. Anybody know for sure if the lugnuts are different between a 2500 and a dually? I think the dually's are not tapered??? Please correct me if I'm wrong. If they're the same, then all I need is the 16 that hold the adapter on the front. Thanks, Trey

You are correct according to my manual. The dually nuts are flat with built-in

swivel washer.

That's what I thought. Thanks for confirming. So, I need 32 lugnuts + 16 adapter nuts to hold the front extensions on. You would think a junkyard would have plenty of these, but no...

Thanks,

Trey
