very dissapointed in my run tonight at the track 14. 88 at 98 mph,

i need more power, my mods are listed below, what else can i do, does propane and nitrous work? or does it harm our trucks... my mods are listed below. on a good note, i killed 1 duramax and 2 powerstrokes tonight... .

I have an edge comp, can it be upgraded to the "Drag" comp by edge or anyone else?

Edge can upgrade your comp box to a "drag comp" it should help with drag racing. Get some bigger injectors and turbo and then throw some water injection at it.

I had my comp upgraded and think it makes a world of differece.

Good Luck

Craig

i laready have EDM 2. 5s and HX40, i dont want to buy another turbo for fear that a bad ball bearing turbo will be arriving sooon!!!!!

your mph is pretty good (98),so your not too far off where you should be. If you can give me more info ill try to help you figure out where it is your lacking in your run.

Boost/EGTduring the run

FPressure(lowest point)

Is the truck 2wd or 4?

what is truck weight,

What are your 60ft times?

shift points(RPM,esp the 3-4 shift).

Are you going into lockup in the 1/4 mi?.

I would advise against a turbo change most of the heavier singles that supply more air than an hx40 are unwastegated, and can and will hurt the head gasket. Then you need to run an external wastegate. Unless your willing to o ring or fire ring the block/head,ID stay with the 40. If your looking to keep the truck relaible id keep it at 475hp or less, you should be able to make 475 with the PDR 40/Drag comp with no problems. You may need an injectors change though. If you go bigger EGTS will go thru the roof on 5x5. There goes your long term reliablity.

Snowman,

So your saying that a 511 horse, single turbo, daily driver, sled puller, drag racing, hunting- work truck is pushing the limits. . If only we had more snow, then I could get more use out of her.

well see, my problem is right in the begining i can do a 12psi lauch with out spinning the tires, but i have to let off after i get about 25lbs of boost and get back on it because i loose traction. . but i guess i cant do much about that unless i want to go buy slicks. i just think that i should be able to make better low end power, with less boost therefore less problems with traction. i also want better top end accel. . my fuel pressure at WOT is at 8psi, i have the max flow kit on here. and im going to do the tc lockup switch and try again on friday, i think i might just need to find the sweetspot and that takes practice.

btw, i contacted edge about going from a comp to drag. i plugged my friends drag into my system today, i notice differences in the top end power.
