Competition Sacramento Truck Drags Oct. 19th

Off Roading G.p.s. ???????

I've added a little power to my 2003 HO, but not near as much as some others in here. Yet, after only 120,000 miles the rear U-joint is loose. Can anyone recommend something better than stock for a replacement? Is there a stronger spider I can just swap in, or do I have to replace the yokes also? What are the different options?

I installed precision 351 joints from napa at both ends of the rear driveshaft. I believe that auto trucks take a different joint (not too sure). Maybe someone else will chime in. Rear one crapped out at 18k. Its nice to be able to grease them.

I haven't verified any of these numbers, I just saved them from another post a while back. <O:p</O:p<O:p</O:p

The strongest off the shelf u-joint would be a non-greasable forged body spicer. These joints don't have grease fittings but the caps have alot better seals than the greasable joints so you don't have to worry about greasing them. Not sure what exactly you're asking about spiders or yokes, but that is my recommendation on the u-joints. I believe this is what you are looking for. One of your local parts stores should carry them also.

not be difficult but why have a stronger u joint, that is the weak link, think of as a fuseable link that will break when over powered, that keeps the truck from tearing up other stuff... geaseable is nice too, but stronger unless your doing compition... .
