Hey guys

I just installed 370's last night. The truck runs smoother and has more power from what I can tell. I have not adjusted anything on the pump. Does anyone have any instructions on how i can get some quick smoke on demand. Best way to get it is to snap rev?

Thanks

Erik

Hey, ya got them in finally. :D They are great.

You can adjust the star-wheel (turn towards the engine for more fuel). It'll get you more smoke off idle. Other way is to dump the boost and hammer it, or other-wise lug the engine.

with my set up and eveything full foward cars behind me have to chage lanes to see where they are going, so you should have no problem getting lots of smoke outta yours

slide the plate and the AFC housing all the way forward, and adjust the star wheel all the way forward. it'll smoke a little when you lay into it ;)

Better have a beefed up clutch first.

If you have slid the afc forward and adjusted the starwheel the only thing left is to screw in the preboost on the rear of the afc.

If you want some smoke then remove the rack stop from the AFC housing.

Simply take the AFC housing off the pump, loosen the 10mm bolt on the front of the housing, pop the bolt/rod out of the AFC housing and the rack stop (boot looking thing) will fall right out.

Reinstall said 10mm bolt/rod and reinstall AFC housing.

Enjoy! ;) :D

is removing your rack stop a bad thing to do? i mean does it cause the cylinders to get washed down by fuel at idle?

I ran my previous 97 like that for like 40K miles and never had any probs. All it does is throw in maximum fuel and low boost. I've never heard it associated with cylinder wash down.

He is just seeing the amount of fuel entering the cylinders as too much with a missing rack stop, hence the cylinders not producing enough compression to burn all the fuel flowing in the cylinder. High blow by is not a good thing @ idle, I am sure your aware of this but thought i would throw it in there. :)

Eric, look at the top of the pump,at the rear there is a housing with 4 bolts holding it in place 2 of those also hold the cut-off solenoid. That is the Afc housing. The star wheel is under the allen head plug in the afc housing.

got smoke? i was not trying to say you were wrong i was just wondering if that would cause to much fuel while idleing at start up when it cold outside and cause cylinder wash.
