anyone know of something very strong??? that will kill and remove it at the same time or am i going to have to drop the tank and then add this stuff to treat the rest of the fuel system?? thanks
is this a result of the fuel tank not having vent hoses on the role over valves? My 06 was recalled for it. If your under the recall and have not had it done, the dodge dealer will clean your tank for you.
The microbes live in the interface between fuel and water, if you purchase clean water free fuel you don't usually have a microbe problem. If the vent hoses allow water to enter the tank, beware
By the way after I discovered that I had a microbe problem and treated the fuel I didn't drop the tank I just changed the fuel filters sooner than I would have normally done.
I used the Racor biocide on mine, ordered it through Diesel Injection out of San Antonio Texas, they usually have an ad in the magazine. anyone tell me... when the stuff dies off what exactly does it look like... also, is it possible for the stuff to be reborn without the presence of water in the tank? Still picking up stuff inthe filter off my auxilary tank, not like before, but some of it is still there.
