depending on which antenna you have, you just put it on top of your dash and then you won't have to worry about cable routing from outside. I have one of the low profile Terk ant in my 02 sitting on my dash and it works flawlessly. You also have to look really hard from outside to see it whereas mounted to the roof, it's a dead give away to a hoodlum that you "gots a system in yo ride".

just my . 02 worth... ymmv

Depending on which antennea you use is how you'll want to mount it. Delphi(if you have the Delphi setup)has a new antenna to replace the magnet mount antenna and is a better recieving antenna in my opinion. It is a double face tape deal and can be stuck wherever you want it. Most guys remeove the 3rd brake light and run the cable along the top inside the truck towards the quad door, then down the frame and under the rocker panel molding to the dash. That antenna and the fm modulator kit has made a relly good system even better..... Andy

With this mast setup I can easily route the long "big rig" cable underneath the side of my slide-in camper and up the back to the top rail. This style of is ground plane independent.
