I am installing the OFE tommorrow morning and there no torque specs anywhere...

I need bell housing bolt tq specs, flywheel, etc, etc, etc...

Also any tips anyone may have to make install go smoothly please chime in...

THANKS... Oo. Oo.

Doughboy,

The pressure plate is 22 ft lbs, the flywheel is 70 ft lbs. Tighten all the bellhousing bolts to 30 ft lbs and then any bellhousing bolts that have washers go on up to 50 ft lbs. I can't say i have put a torque wrench on all these in the past ;) but you asked :)

Make sure the disc is aligned and centered before you torque the pressure plate bolts

Keep it clean, no grease/grime on the disc, plate or flywheel.

Stay safe, that trans is heavy and chrysler doesn't own a wire brush  there are some edges here and there that can give a nasty gash. A good transmission jack (straps) and a buddy to help guide it in and out will make it an easier install.

Hope this helps

Dave

is there anything that you would reccomend using on cleaning the flywheel off once mounted and the clutch disk off before installing pressure plate?????

I am hoping and wanting to get this right the 1st time and have it be trouble free... . THANKS
