Ok I need help!!! Why does my iod fuse keep blowing it does not blow all the time just in the last few months it has blown 4 to 5 times can some tell me what to start looking for.

It's probable you have an intermittent short somewhere in the wiring harness downstream of that fuse.

As has been mentioned before, the following items are on that circuit:

Underhood lamp

Overhead console lamps

Visor lamps (if equipped)

Dome lamp

Power mirrors

Radio memory power

An intermittent condition might be very hard to troubleshoot.

I've personally never used something like one of these tools, but possibly they might help:

Short Finder

Wireless Short Finder

Do a Google search on "short finder" and you'll get lots of ideas.

You might have to resort to disconnecting (or cutting) some of the circuits fed by that fuse so only one circuit is connected at a time. By doing that you'd be able to isolate the short down to one circuit, ultimately making is easier to locate.

See attached wiring diagram.

Good luck,

John L.
