I talked to many places and ended up ordering from a couple of different ones.

I ordered:

GENOS

Westach dual temp gauge(trans pan and inline)

Westach dual boost/egt

Isspro tach

Mag hytech double deep pan

3 gauge pod for 98 model (I then found a 3 and 4 gauge pod for our trucks at pdrdiesel.com) May get that one later.

Some other odds and ends

TST Diesel

ATS 3 piece manifold(and gaskets)

16cm housing

(coupon "happy 4th" for 5% discount. )

That should keep me busy for a while.

Did I forget anything?

****EDIT****

I have just been informed by TST that ATS does not make a mainfold for the 92 model. Is that correct? Isn't the 94 the same head? Will the 94 work on my truck? Anyone ever heard of this?

WHAT? No turbo or upgrades besides the 16cm housing? That should still make it feel like a different truck, even though you have an auto (changes are less noticeable thru the stock torque convertor). And it's good tha tyou have a baseline. I would recommend a fuel pressure gauge if you intend to increase injector pump capacity.

See my reply in the other thread. Yes, the manifold WILL work.

All I am going for is longevity and fuel mileage. I am hoping the 16cm housing will help get rid of my off-idle smoke. PO told me there were mods done to the IP, but couldn't tell me what was done. I hope the faster spooling will put more air into the chamber.

I am replacing the Manifold because I dont want the stock one to break the ears off of the head. And since I am replacing the housing anyway, what better time than the present.

The guy I talked to at Genos talked me out of a fuel pressure gauge.:rolleyes: I'll get one later.

Are there any other gauge(s) that would be good to have? I am going to have the dash apart anyway, I might as well do them all at the same time. For once in my life, I actually have the money. (At least for another week)

With these mods, would it be good to do some bosch 190 injectors and a 3200 rpm spring? Again, I'm not really interested in all out performance, just want to make the truck do what it was made to be capable of. I don't want any more smoke or to break my transmission. I have run out of fuel while towing my blazer, not in overdrive.

I would HIGHLY recommend the 3200 spring. Easy, Cheap, lots more legs.

I would probably go with 190s as well.

I went with PODs just 'cause. I do have more off idle smoke but top end is fun! My small town probably isn't glad I went with PODs because of the smoke. I could probably tune some of the smoke out, but it is running just as I like it. Valet switch mitigates a bunch of the early smoke, but Starwheel adjustment would do similar.
