I Passed the Washington State Emissions Test.

OK - I was worried about passing and RIP told me to keep the comp on 1 v 1 - I had to snap - meaning floor her - these are the results. Note that I had a Reading of 8 with an upper limit of 40. I noticed that I had very little smoke and I can make her look like a TRactor Pull... ...

When I had my 96 2600 with the pump recalibrated I did the Washington snap test and failed.

I went back to the shop that did the pump work and asked what they could do to help me pass the test. They said I could pay them $75 and they would take the truck to the emissions test station and get it to pass or I could do it. I was told to put my toe under the throttle pedal so it would not reach over about 2500 rpm and when snapping the throttle to do it a little bit slower but not so slow that it was obvious. I went back and took the test using his advice and passed with a opacity reading of 6 instead of 42 as in my first try.
