online wants to sell anything... I would love to buy something... . ANYTHING!! has anyone bought anything online?

btw, does napa sell a steering stabilizer? any good? thanks. scott.

napa online

Before I found Geno's I ordered a couple a fuel filters from Napa online. No problems, and it was nice to have it UPSed to my door!!!

As far as steering stabilizers. I got a Rancho from desertrat.com. Unfortunately I don't have the time or patience to remove that stupid tapered stud from the tie rod.

when i went down to the store today... .

i waited in line while the clerk answered phone call after phone call. i don't like the way it's run. rancho online says my napa store is a dealer. when i went to order a rancho steering stabilizer, they told me they can't get it but could sell me rancho shocks. what a crock.

a bunch of freakin idiots running it. i bought my lifters for my 302 ford (boat) at discount auto parts cause they were in stock. napa ordered yesterday for today delivery. didn't show up.

that's why..... i order online when i can. i don't have to wait in line to talk to an idiot.

Scott, just do as I and apparently many who use your local Napa do, call in your order. Beats waiting in line while the guy answers the phone. They usually have to order in what you need anyways. Napa online is on the same par as this site's search engine.

A well run Napa will have none of the problems you guys are mentioning. The real key is the guy you are asking for the parts, if he is good you will get exactly what you want and if he is not you will get the runaround. I have been in both types of Napa stores. Even with poor service I prefer a Napa as I have found that their parts are better quality in many cases, their reman stuff is the only reman I will use for example. Maybe you could try a different store or a different counter man in the store you went to.

Checker wanted $115 EACH for the Rancho shocks and are nearly as high on other stuff each time I have checked, I have no plans of going back to them. Autozone is a great place to get belts and hoses etc, prices are hard to beat. I have never gotten a decent starter or alternator or anything like that from Autozone though.

Tell you what...

I'd rather stand in a parts store for 30min, and help the counterperson look in the books for my part, than wait 3-5 days for UPS to deliver me a box that has been crushed several times and hoping the phone order person sent the right part number.
