i seen the post about the oil filters?

I heard alot about the fram all bad. I think that there was an issue of the tdr that had a bunch of test on the oil filters. I failed to read this because of lack of time. How is the deutch filter rated that you get from auto zone.



That is what i have used for the last 2 changes because it was less of a hassle then to go to cummins.

Stick with Fleetguard, you can't go wrong. It's not just a question of price, altho Fleetguard is very reasonably priced. I live 6 miles from Cummins, and still order from Geno's.

I remember seeing a post about 6-9 months ago with a link to a web site that compared oil filters. The guy who did it tore them open and uncovered just how shoddy some of them are.



Anybody remember the URL? I tried the search but it doesn't seem to work.

I just tried the link, which I had book marked, it does not appear to work any longer. This was just an individual, and was not too scientific. Maybe he killed his web site or moved to another provider.

Adam, there are more choices than Cummins or Genos to acquire Fleetguard products. Any decent bigrig service garage or parts store should carry them as well. I get mine at a truck shop, for about 50c less than Geno's after tax, and no shipping charges. I like to go there so I can drool over the stacks and other bigrig chrome goodies on display while shopping
