I just bought a 98 reg cab 4X4 work truck. She is pretty rough, but I think I can make it drivable. However I bought it with a spun bearing on the right rear. the end of the axel housing stub is kinda mushroomed(like they ran it a ways with the axel half out). We are not sure why it failed, we are thinking it might have ran low on fluid and toasted the bearing. I will be pulling the cover off to get a better look. My main question is, what years of rear ends will fit?? I prefer a bolt in. The tag on the door and hood says spicer 70. with 4. 10's. Newer trucks are hard to find in the salvage yards up here, so I'm hoping maybe an older truck will work. What should I be expecting to pay? Thanks

Back to 1994 will fit, either Dana 70 or 80. U-joints may be different (companion flange) on 80s. Obviously you either need 4. 10 or you will have to change the gears in the front diff to match.
