Symptoms:

- intermittent "dead pedal"

- slight surging when cold

- just recently some hesitation when starting from a stop

- P0500 and P1693 codes

I have solid fuel pressure - 12psi @ cruise, 10psi @ WOT. About 75k on the odometer.

Is it my VP44 or something else? I have a service appt. at the dealer for Wednesday AM.

Vp!

Thats it. I have the same codes and sitting at dealer right now. I got lucky and got them to do under warranty. Hopefully new pump is( New and improved) What do you think?:-laf

Well, dealer pulled the dreaded P0216 code. New VP44 is on order - luckily, I'm still under warranty. They flow/volume tested the lift pump - it's good. Hopefully, the VP44 won't totally die before they get the new one in. The service tech did comment that the ECM seemed odd, so I told him it wasn't stock. He said, "Well, it looks stock to me", so no warranty issues.
