Pulling a long 4-5% grade w/ 5000 lb. trailer. As I rolled to a stop the noise did not  Had to haul it in at 1:00 am. When I started the engine in the presence of my trans guru he said I have NEVER heard one of these trucks make that kind of noise. After further inspection it is apparent that the Torque Converter has broken away from the flywheel. Some bolts broke & others pulled loose from the TC. Billet Flex Plate & heavy duty TC on order. It seems the issue here is no thread locker on the fastners which hold this assembly together. I do have 125k on the truck so they held till all warranty was gone.

Just enough to get out of warranty. Ever seen a billet flex plate shattered? :D Or the studs pulled off the torque convertor? :D Billet torque convertor lugs, billet flex plate/flywheel, the only way to go... . then we weak link is on the inside.....
