My 04 is different (as far as the wiring, at steering column) than Bighammer's 03. therefore I thought I would be smart and try another "door open- key in- chime delete bomb"
I opened the door, pulled the rubber boot, in between the door and the jam, away from the door. This exposed the wires leading to the latch, and whatever features are in the door. I then saw a blue wire in the cluster. I cut the blue wire. Wallah, the door chime went out, and, so did the interior light, and, the headlite chime did not work either.
.
Talk about a small place to work to try to get it back together again with a butt connector
It was cold outside as usual, and I will have to admit to having done better work in the past.
Needless to say, my Bomb BOMBED :{
SO!!! henceforth, if anyone has a 04 ST plane Jane truck manual, could you look up the wiring schematics and see what color the wire is (at the base of the steering column), and let me know? I would sure appreciate it, and would be indebted to you.
