I was a long time member here, but I requested to be removed after a ton of censoring went into place and many members either got perma banned or simply fell of the planet.

What a shame TDR has become. I sported the grill badge and bumper sticker for years, hoping I’d be spotted by another member while traveling, or that I might spot on myself. Of course I still see another Dodge/Ram on the road but I never look for TDR merch anymore.

I’d even look ahead to see if another member might be in the path of my travels in case of a break down, but I’m guessing the cup doesn’t hold much water anymore.

I loved the quarterly books, and would read cover to cover of every issue. Then slowly but surely, pages became over ran with ads, marketing, and the “how to” editorials became less and less. I knew my membership to TDR was coming to a close….sadly.

I’m hopeful that TDR could go back to what it once was, but I know that’s almost impossible in today’s world so I won’t be holding my breath for too long.

Go ahead and perma ban me admin. At least I’ll forever leave this forum not pretending to be a woman like ummmmm…..you know

GS, I agree. I've been a member since 2004 and the TDR has changed. The Amazon Assoc and Affiliate program, and it's constraints, makes no sense to me with the TDR having as many paid members as they have, but it's their business and now it's my choice...not sure at the moment where it goes from here.

I wouldn't know. I sometimes take a look only to find threads in excess of a hundred pages of bantering back and forth. Something I do find strange about the TDR is that the Admins' don't show a screen name. I belong to 3 other forums ranging from flying to etc and all of the staff have a screen names. Like I said,things have changed on the TDR.

I left for a while but first came on this board in the late 90's, 97 or 98 I dont recall exactly. Back then the majority of members were in their 30's and 40's and bombing was BIG. A lot of information sharing and people coming up with everything to make these trucks the perfect tow machine, tractor puller, drag racer, you name it.
Now "I think" the majority are in their 50's and 60's. To their credit, the big 3 have made everything standard that we used to have to mod to get. The power is what some of the best trucks had in the day except today they can tow the max weight without melting down AND the truck is under warranty. There is nowhere the need or drive for people to mod their trucks. Sadly many great members have past over the years. Times change, so do people, so do trucks, so do websites....
I'm actually surprised it lasted as long as it has. I have seen more than a few succumb to advertisers and take the money and run before the site becomes worthless.
Its not TDR of yesterday, but I am glad its still here and I appreciate all of you who still drop by and chat.

I still do not understand the need to make a thread or post up about how you want the admin to remove you. If you don’t want to be here, then just don’t come back. It’s pretty simple. And the best way to get “perma banned” would be to PM an admin, not make a thread about it. If you used to be a “long time member” then left and came back, you knew what you were coming back to, so quit whining, get on with your life, and don’t come back. I doubt you’ll be missed.

TDR is and has been my favorite Dodge Cummins forum, cleaner then other forums (important to me), good info and great people. I've met a few.
I do wish for more enthusiasm in deleting problematic epa junk, bombing etc. Do we need more young guys?
FYI I would love to see threads of builds and/or DIY info. I like to do as much work on my truck as time=skill will allow.

As storms get worst killing more people around the globe, people still talk about getting rid of EPA junk?

Agreed!... I wiped my hand inside my tailpipe of my 20' yesterday after 20k on the clock, nothing!! on a clean white towel.... Couldn't say that for my 04 non-emissions 5.9 on its best day.

Furthermore Susan, I find it especially troubling that on the same day so many lost their lives due to likely climate induced storms, those celebrates chose to take a 10min joyride into the atmosphere. What is the carbon foot print of that (Id really like to know), personally I find it appalling as it serves no real purpose aside from a publicity stunt, yet we demonize efficient diesel trucking and transportation whilst elevating these idiots that truly believe their electric cars are zero emissions.....JM2C

Are you saying that no conservatives buy Tesla cars? Phoenix area highways are full of Tesla cars, I was not aware that those were are liberals driving them.

I am simply sick and tired of hearing how "I am saving the planet" with my coal powered car that uses lithium batteries mined and made mostly in China.. Yes I know some are made here but not the bulk and as there is no plan for recycling and lifecycle for the batteries; we walking towards the next environmental problem.
