Here I am

I wanna brag on my wife!

Thanks, TDR Staff

Handheld radios ?

HOOTERS now has home delivery!!!!!!!!!!

Awhile back, my wife; Lana, had a cancer scare. Luckily, the results were negative. When I first posted that we were worried, one of the first responders was Nowell (HVAC, damn I miss him :( ) .

Anyway, since then, we've rec'd an aluminum OB Jet fishing boat. Traded the '02 Wilderness for an '05 ALFA. Blown up a DTT transmission (That took a WHOLE LOT, let me tell you!) Bought an '02 6 speed. And, Lana has allowed the '96 to be a RACE TRUCK, allowing the FULL RACE DTT Trans to be installed.

Through DUMB Luck, I was blessed with having both Bill and Stephan K. at my shop to work on my trans since the installer flaked. PM me for info.

Bottom line is, my wife is the best woman any TDR guy could dream for. We used to photograph the IRL, WoO, USAC, NARC, SRL, virtually all open wheel on the left coast. She allowed me to see how I was being used/abused and hence we retired. Our gains weren't/aren't worth our efforts. Mind you, I'm 48 YO and I've been racing for 49+ years. (I'll explain if you ask).

Anyway, Lana will be shortly losing her job at a very prestigious facility here in CA. Can't tell you the name, but if you run the Altamont and are near Livermore (oops), you know of what I type.

Sorry for rambling. I just wanted to brag about my wife and what we have accomplished, because of her prodding. For those who have stayed 'til the end, Thanks. Stranger. (Bill)

Very interesting Bill. When you got a good one you best keep em. Who knows where I would be today without mine. All the hell I have giving her over the years(31+) and what she said she would do if something ever happen to me well she came through for me on 3-18-98 when I had a wreck. First hospital they took me to said I would be ok. I was acting the way I was cause I was drunk. Well I had some beer in me but she has been around me many a time and she knew something was not right. She got me transferred to a Austin hospital(St Davids) and they did there tests and found bleeding on the brain. Well they got me on the right road to recovery took and operation and 11+ months before I went back to work but I am back. :D be thankful for what you got. God Bless.

And I could of wound of a vegetable case the rest of my life if she would not of stayed on top of things.

Sounds like you are both blessed and lucky. Not a bad combo. The LAB has slide positions for those close to 55, it might be worth a look. They do take care of their own.

Now how do you end up with DTT's top brass at your front door??????

I'll ask. Just don't tell me it's modern math. ;) Mike
