I want cab lights like the OEM ones, are they on a separate switch or wired in to headlights? Is there some wiring already in place, or does it need to be run, and any suggestions on where to get them and what price?

Thanks Jared

Jared... . you have a 1 ton, right??? You are still in the old silver truck I hope! Or did I miss out on something?

-Chris-

I got mine from Mopar4less, I put them on a relay, so they come on with the parking or headlights, and I also wired up a switch into the ground line of the relay so I can turn only the cab-lights off and on when I want to.

A particularly good item for attaching to blind holes in sheet metal is the Nutsert®. They make both metric & SAE sizes & they are far stronger, clean looking, & weather proof than a screw or nut/bolt combo especially when used w/ a thin layer of Permatex® Ultra Blue® RTV Silicone Gasket Maker. You can use a regular capscrews, torx head or socket head bolts w/ them, including stainless steel fasteners. I used them to secure our tool box to the bed of the Dodge as well as put aftermarket mirrors on my '71 Chevy. The only way to make a stronger connection to sheet metal is to use a large, shaped backing plate w/ threaded holes.

The only hitch is they require a special installation tool which is available where ever you buy the Nutsert®. I've always been able to find them at my local fastener speciality store. Hardware stores won't carry 'em.

I don't sell either one of these items, but have used them for years doin' custom truck work.
