CR - Common Rail - delivers fuel at high pressure for multiple injection shots (duramax has the same bosch high pressure pump) found on all 03-05 CTD

P-pump- P7100 mechanical injection pump found on 12 valves

1) P-Pump= Bosch mechanical injection pump

2) Cr motor= new 24 valve Common Rail injected motor

1+2= Oo. Oo. Oo.

black some = mostly burnt fuel?

white = slightly burnt?

Is the white smoke white at that stage in the launch a result of low boost (for a set of twins. . ) and low compression? I'm sure he's not running 18:1 compression, something like 15:1. As a result of this low compression and low boost, the exhuast is white?

or am I like way off the mark here.

P - Pump?

CR - Motor?

Naw, thats just a stock Cummins with Chrome Stacks :-laf :-laf :-laf

He just tells all the D-max and Stroke guys its heavily modded to make them feel better ;)

CATCRACKER, any way we can buy the cheaper gasoline and re-convert it back into DIESEL?

I'm sure it's not cost effective, but would that require heating, or would it produce heat to reverse the cracking?

I read somewhere they get more gallons of gas, than they would get diesel, from the same volume of oil.

no twins its a single charger truck. the smoke is due mostly to timing and amount of fuel.

How hard/how much does it cost to convert to a P-pump?

Does the dash/tach still work? Did you have to bypass the ECM?

How driveable is it on the street?

im still working on the final price i will have asap. its not all that hard, getting everything figured out was the hard part. the dash tach will still work.

its as driveable as any p-pump truck. it depends on how you have it set up.

there is a lot of info on this in the 4500 rpm thread. or ask ill answer all that i can, with out giving too much away.

:--) Let me say that again. :--) A P-pumped common rail truck? That is AWESOME!

Is the truck still running a common rail, or has it been completely converted to a normal jerk pump arrangement?

All I gotta say is... ... "GET YA SOME" "GET YA GET YA GET YA SOME"

Is there any way to save the video or another way to get the video in file format?
