I'm ready to upgrade to a 3500 6spd. I live in St Louis. Can anyone point me to a dealer reasonbly close that will sell at invoice without alot of haggling? Also, what are the largest tires one can put on a dually? Thanks in advance for responses--I love this place.

Believer... you can go into sites on the internet, tell them what you are looking for, and they will direct you to a dealer near you. I have used www.Edmunds.com several times, and you pay $150. 00 over invoice. Others have gotten it for less.

Sometimes they will have the dealer contact you. Also, you could go to www.davesmithmotors.com and they will give you a quote, and although they are in Kellogg, Idaho, you would know if the local dealer is shooting staight or not.

Check out Melton sales, they treated me great and I think they are still below or at least at invoice. They are in Clairemore Ok.
website is www.meltonsales.com

A friend of mine got his 2500 through carsdirect.com for 650 under invoice. It was an ETC and 5 speed though. Still might be worth checking out.

Lakeland Dodge in Lakeland Florida will do an invoice deal in a heartbeat!... besides, come down this winter enjoy some weather and drive it home!

Join a credit union w/a good car buying service. You never have to leave your home, they'll deliver your truck to your door step. Mine even gave me a break down between invoice and dealer mark-up on each option.

It has already been said, but Melton Sales in Claremore, Oklahoma sells below invoice. I know several who have done it. No tricks or additional charges. Straight forward deal. Good people, too.

I pay 750. 00 over invoice to my dealer. Why you ask?? Because I get and want service. If the dealer does not make money I get no service. Best part is when my truck is in the shop I get a Dodge diesel truck to drive while it is being repaired at no cost. He also picks the truck up, 30 miles away, and drops my loaner off. Now that is service and is well worth it. #ad

Call Adrian Buitink at 918-333-5400. Probably 150 miles from St. Louis, $49. 00 over invoice, saved me about 3k on mine verses the quotes I got locally. That is Mark Roberts Motors at Bartlesville Ok. Their toll free # is 1-800-375-less.

Mark Robert's out of Bartlesville has been mentioned. Believe they still have a web site www.markroberts.com. They deal at invoice with small doc fee.

Although I bought our 2001 in Ada, OK from Chapparell Dodge at invoice. Could find the 800 number for you if you can't find something closer.

Beliver;

I wanted to buy locally, but I wanted the good deal also.
I got prices from Dave Smith Dodge in Idaho (by telephone) and also from Melton (by computer printout). I went to my local dealer and told them I wanted to do business with them, but I was not willing to pay too much over the big guys to do so and told them the prices I had. I was hoping for the local dealer to get with in 2-$300. After a little back and forth, they agreed to match Dave Smith's price which was $500. under invoice.
You might try that on a dealer in your area.
P S I also got a price check from a computer service that tells what the dealer invoice really is so that I was sure I wasn't being tricked on the invoice.

For Dealer Invoice and MSRP, Try www.Kbb.com, which is Kelly Blue book. Click throug till you get to the Ram you want. I Bought my ETH/DEE locally after trying to buy it from CARSDIRECT.com. I had one on order, but they never returned my calls or my emails, could not provide me with a VON/VIN in order to track the build out. Because of bad Customer Service, They lost my business. Plus, their pricing is misleading, since they factor in any rebates as they calculate the price, yet when you get a purchase agreement, the price is higher. This way, it looks like it is coming in under invoice, when it's actually not. Redwood City Dodge in CA has a $99 over invoice deal, but this is probably too far. THats where I got my truck, in stock and ready to go. Took 45 MIns to complete the purchase. Look in fritz ram page for more info

I searched the web and online dealers for the best price. I then went to my local dealer and told him that I know what I want and I am shopping around for the best price. I also informed him that no matter where I bought my new truck that I would be bringing it to his dealership for any warranty or service work. They can't turn you away, not if they want to keep that 5 star rating #ad
So he gives me their best price, of course it’s higher than what I have, I asked if he could match what I have. After the normal back and forth routine with the manager, they matched my price. $250 over dealer invoice.

The dealers are pressured (that is a switch) to keep the 5 star rating. If they do not, they will lose incentives from DC.

To add to this example, After I negotiated the new truck's price, it was only then I discussed my trade-in. A 1998 Neon #ad
He offered me below book for the Neon and would not budge. He is now trying to make up the difference. Of course, I declined his generous offer. So I wait until the truck comes in and drive down to the dealer with my Neon. I give him a story about how the truck came in earlier than I expected (I was thrilled), I had to sell the Neon first, it would take me awhile to sell it, etc. etc. He presents his past trade-in offer to "help me out. " I then suggest that when I get DC's survey I will have to ask them why the dealer would not give me a fair trade-in value. Well, back to the manager #ad
The bottom line; if the dealer gave me what I wanted for my trade-in would I give an excellent rating on the survey? Why of course #ad
+ $1,200 from his original offer #ad

Before buying from out of your state I would check the "Lemon Laws" of the state you plan to buy in. Some have them and some don't. Worth checking out first.

How about hundred's below invoice ? Try cardirect.com

I have a Dealer in Aurora Missouri that says they will sell at Invoice, but I won't be buying my new Truck until next March. I am hoping that the rebates will be higher then because there will be more talk about the redesigned 2002. Does anyone have a feel for this? When are the rebates usually the highest?
Thanks
Dennis

Rebates are used to attract customers when sales are, or projected to be slow/low. However, I have seen rebates given when the new model years are coming out and DC wants the leftovers off the dealer’s lots. You will not see high dollar rebates (if any) for a best seller.
Have you seen any rebates for the VIPER:cool
I have seen some posts about farm rebates. Don't know anything about them but hey, its something to look into.
Good Luck #ad

Believer; I think I know of one St. Louis dealer who will do it. I got practice on dealing with the St. Louis area Dealers in May when I bought my 2500 ETH DEE. E- mail me if you're still interested.
