so I'm toolin down the road ..... took some back roads to stay off the highway like I always do ... ... ... ... ... thinking how well I like my truck and thinkin about all the ******* on here.

I've determined, that we are all spoiled.

We used to talk about our trucks in years ... ... ..... not miles.

Think about that for a minute before you bash this. I've complained about this or that on my '03, and I felt justified ... ... ... ... ... ..... but, it wasn't too long ago when we were sticking our chest out if we had a 100,000 mile truck.

I've had my '03 for 2 years and 70,000 hard miles, thats 35,000 a year and I'm already thinking of how I can preserve it ... ... ..... years past you'd be looking for a fool to offload to at 70,000.

Ours is just getting broke in Oo.

Think about it for a second will ya?

Yup just like the 12v hard to beat. This summer I'll be moving across the country, I'll be :D the whoooooooooole way!!! Can't wait.

Before I bought my truck I had this is mind, "Maybe this is the last truck I buy before I get to old to turn wrenchs. " Only time will tell.

Man I Love My Truck too it would be sad to see her leave the family.

You shuurree hit the nail on the haid, spelled like a Texan talks "ha ha", I can't make the smiley faces work for some reason. I remember when I installed my new 180 hp Cummins in my Ford 15 years ago, turned up it would tear up any pickup on the road. Now when I drive it I kinda keep a low profile if I think a newer Diesel is around. They all just keep getting better and better. I would not hesitate to go to New York and back with any of my CTD powered pickups. About 150,000 miles on the Ford, 293,000 miles on the "91" and 70,000 miles on the "01".

As long as we're having a 2003 love-fest, how about this:

we drive the last production street-legal vehicle that came from the factory with NO emissions equipment (unless you count the crankcase breather).

That alone makes these trucks pure gold.

If ya'll will excuse me, I need to go hug my truck. #ad

10-4 on the emissions, last year I was at my buddy's shop changing my oil and this diesel mechanic guy was there, I didn't know him. He was looking over my truck and I popped off kinda sarcastic saying yeah I got the SO/250HP that is considered junk to the HO crowd in some peoples opinion. One of the other guys at the shop just traded his 03 HO/555 for a 600. Had bad vibration on the 03 they could not fix is why he traded. That mechanic said I would rather have your 250 than his new 600, it does not have all that emission crap on it, he said I can make that 250 run. I said yeah I know, but it's staying stock for me it's got enough power for what I need it for. :D
