i won a new dodge truck [i hope???]

well, i had a nice message on my answering machine this evening. dodge. ca had a contest called "build your dream dodge" and it looks like i won the grand prize. i just don't know what i built though? i entered it like 20 times with many cummins powered rams, but i think i entered the contest with a 1500 gasser too... hmm, i hope it is the diesel that i won, and i sure hope this is no hoax, otherwise i will be really :{ :{ :{ . my heart is going like 200bpm right now and i am shaking... . gotta call them to find out more details, but i just had to share this...

poop. it is a gasser 1500... there looks like there is legal rules that say i can not sell it, and it looks like i can not take it as cash...



still nice though, but i am going to have to unload it cause i want the diesel :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ and it is still 3 months from now that i can take delievery.

Find out exactly what the time limit is before you can sell it or trade it in. Do you have to drive it around with signs saying where you won it?

check w/them and see if there is anyway you can "trade up" to a 3500 diesel... i'm sure that they wouldn't turn down the sale...

I just traded my 02 w/360 auto, for the 03CTD Auto.

Had to have 2 jobs just to feed that 360, I was only getting 12 Hwy, and 9 City. .

So I kept the second job to pay the payments on the 03CTD

The 03 CTD only gets 15 Hwy, and 12 City... Go figure?

Now I need the wife to get a 2nd job because this one is just as hungry:{

the lady on the phone said something that any upgrades or options that i never built into the contest winning truck i will have to pay for... i wonder if i can "upgrade" to a 2500 HO cummins??? i won't know for sure... she is going to contact me with the fine legal details. i need to go to the promotion company on monday to sign paperwork. . if i can get it upgraded like i want, it will still be a smokin' good deal with the difference being ±$20,000 cdn...



i think i built a 1500 quad cab 4x4 4. 7L v8 5 speed sport 20"rims. but i can't remember for sure. i still hope that i am not getting my chain yanked... but it does sound legit. .



i need to send them a mug shot of myself and a short write up why i am happy to be the new owner of a dodge truck.

That's awesome. I'd pee my pants if I won ANY vehicle. I wonder if your selection had somethign to do with it though. Maybe they thumbed through all the entries and saw nothing but Cummins and 5. 3 V8's. Yours could have been the lowest configured truck in the stack, which put you on top of the list.

Is there a lesson in greed to be learned here?

I think the 1500 hemi is out. I've seen a few people claiming to have them, including a service guy at my dealership the other day. . He said he liked his a lot. That's got to be a good bit of motor for a 1/2 ton truck.
