Dry Ice may be colder, but it's the specific heat capacity of gaseous CO2 SUCKS!!!!! While you may have a chunk of Dry Ice in the cooler, Gaseous CO2 is what is contacting the heat transfer surfaces inside the cooler... .
Ice Water will remove more heat in an equivelantly sized heat exchanger.
Just make sure to replenish the ice after each run.
