Icebox intake?

Hey guys I was just wondering how those of you that have the Icebox intake like it. Hows the fit and finish? Does it whistle pretty well? I'm thinking of selling my Airaid intake and getting an Icebox. See this http://iceboxmanufacturing.com/

I have had the icebox on my truck for about 18,000 miles now and i love it. With the new intake and tube they offer my turbo whistles louder than the engine. The fit and finish on this box are awesome. The box is only about a ten minute install. Another good thing about this intake is the amsoil air filter they are marketing with the box. The oiless filter has a 100,000 mile waranty and cleaning is as easy as vacuuming it off. If you have any questions let me know.

What type of tube are people using between the box and turbo? Isn't the a bunch of silencer nonsense in the stock tube?

Ice Box offers the plumbing as well. You could also use a cool blue hose.

The tube icebox offers is layered silicone which keeps the heat from the exhaust manifold out of the intake tube. The stock tube also fits fine, but also has the silencers as mentioned.

I have one in my 03. It replaced an AFE Stage II intake and the quality of the ICEBOX does not even compare to AFE. The ICEBOX is a stout unit and is made completely out of metal. Fit and finish is good and the install went easy. I highly recommend this unit and plan on replacing the AFE Stage II in my 95 as soon as I can get that one sold. :-laf

I ordered the Ice Box Intake, ordered the filter from Amsoil, and also ordered an Outerwear for it. Will be taking out the stock air box, Cool Power by PSM, and the Amsoil nano that fits the stock box. Going to connect with my Cool Blue Hose that I already have. Will report any differences/findings once everything arrives and I get it all installed.

Thanks for the replies gents! I would still like to know what everyone think about the sound as compared to say an AFE or any other intake.

I have only run my truck with the Icebox and stock, but the box does not increase the sound much at all.

I have had mine for years. I LOVE it. I used the exsisting cowl hole and plumbed it into the Icebox.
