ID housing, How???

Just wanting to know how to identifey what turbo housing I have on my truck. Dose eney body now how I can check this out by numbers or some how. See sig for year, I just dont want to buy one if i already have a smaller one on it, you never know???

It's labelled in raised lettering on the back side of the housing. It should just be the numbers like "18" or something like that. You may need a small mirror to see it.

The 92 trucks came with the 21 cm housing. I pulled my old one of the shelf and and as Mike says you will need a mirror to see the number. The number is just below where the downpipe hooks up to the turbo, you should be able to see the number 21.

I got an exhaust housing from a friend off of a 95 and the Id no. was on the inside. It had no way to tell from the ouside. I got a banks on my truck and have no Idea what size it is. It was on the truck when I bought it.

The first gen stock turbo housings are as follows:

89-91. 5 had 18. 5 housings WH1 turbo

91. 5-92 had 21 housings WH1 turbo

93 went back to the 18. 5 WH1 turbo
