got several prjts planned but room for several more

lookin fwd to this event

Durn it, I was hoping to make it to this event since it is closer than Denver. Plus, I'm partial to camping out.

Fortunately, I'll be on a back country ski patrol trip through Teton Wilderness and southern Yellowstone from the 27th to the 5th. ;)

Not that I have any knowledge of Miss Sally`s, but...

Isn`t it closed down now? I drove past(honest) & it looked deserted. Muddy? DK.

Cool.

Are there people my age that will be there?? (I'm 23). From reading on here, I gather most of the TDR memebers are retired or close to retiring.

nate. lots of younger folks attend. several are in their 20s.

don,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,say it isnt so. :( ya know they dont open up till 6pm. [so i was told :) ] if ya went by tonite they are closed. monday is family home evening :-laf that what the sign on the door used to say. [closed monday for family home evening] :-laf big deal a while back the local lds ward tryin to shut em down :{

looks like we gonna have good turnout. been gettin some ph calls, emails, and pm's. some are gonna travel aways to attend. should have quite a few rv'ers and a couple tents stayin at the bombsite Oo.

We'll be there

My wife and I look forward to attending our first Idaho meet in March. We plan on arriving around 3-4pm on Friday with a 30' 5th wheel and BBQ.

I have 3 three things that I would like to have taken care of if time permits. 1. KDP fix, 2. Tweek the pump, 3. sticky throttle linkage. What would I need to have on hand to expedite things?

1990 2wd, 3:54 gearing, built Sept. 1989. Received Nov. 1989. Aftermarket intercooler, RPM, boost, pyro and transmission guages, 1992 radiatorBD exhaust brake and 60lb valve springs, AFE air filter, aux. transmission cooler, ATS 48RE transmission, injection pump rebuilt and timing advanced in 2005, Hytech exhaust manifold and HX35W compound turbo, BD heavy duty flex plate, large vibration damper, cleaned and retipped original injectors Bosch #7762, heavy duty front coil springs for our camper, Firestone airbags. Truck first dyno'd at 125 hp. After adjusting the throttle linkage it dyno'd at 150. Last May at the May Madness meet in Vegas, dyno'd at 199. This was before the new exhaust manifold, turbo and injector tips. Will be interested at the results when we attend this year's May Madness.

Looking forward to meeting new friends... ... ... ... Blue Dodge

What would I need to have on hand to expedite things?

I'd suggest paper plates, forks for the fastidious amongst us, extra BBQ sauce, ... hmmm? Oh, and plenty of knapkins. :-laf

wow keith,

what am impressive truck profile. even a bombed 48re in a 1st gen. wow :D

since the front crank seal isnt seeping we can reuse it

dont know what else ya need to get

well,,,,,,,,,,looks as if we got lots of projcts. room for more. :) also threads on www.cumminsforum.com and www.oilburners.net with conversation on the idaho bomb party.

gettin more ph calls and pm's of inquiry too

ya, don't worry nate. there will be other children there. :-laf just kiddin. i'm 29, and a bunch of my buddies should be there. they range from 19 (i think) on up.

I was wondering if I'd be able to get some help to do the KDP on my truck?

Do I need to schedule garage time?

I'm not exactly sure what parts I need. Crank seal, cover gasket and kdp tab... all from Cummins?

Any tools I should bring?

Also was wondering if someone might have a compression tester and would be able to help me with that? If not I'm not too worried. Would like to get the KDP taken care of though.

I am working 3AM-3PM all this week, so I more than likely I will get some rest Friday after work and head over on Saturday morning.

Directions would help. I'm coming from Mountain Home.

chances are, harold will tell you to take a couple steps back and watch. as he takes care of the pin AND bolts. in record time. harold will also prolly have all necessary parts. i've got a compression tester. i'll bring it. i'm guessing harold has one of those as well though.

well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if your crank seal has a seep or leak get one from cummins. if ya not able to then haROLD WILL PROLLY HAVEsome seals on hand for the party. he also has tasbs on hand too. [he manufactures these tabs. ] he uses gasketmaker on the cover. red locktite on the bolts. inspect the fanbelt as time to chnge out if it is worn. the local napa was instructed to have a few on hand for the event

directions to event will be psted tonite

10-4. I called Cummins and the crank seal is like $24 and on stock and the tabs are $1. 80 (or around that).

I figure with 157000 miles, may as well change the seal while I'm at it. They said there's no gasket for the front cover, just RTV.

My belt is fairly new.

Also have a guy from work that wants to come. He's got an 01 2500. I hope it's not just a TDR event cause I kinda invited him to come along.
