Quiz Time, What Dodge Does this fit??

new honda pricing??

I'm being sent to Mountain Home, Idaho after 4 awesome years here in Alaska. It breaks my heart, but Uncle Sam doesn't care haha.

Anyway... I was just wondering if anyone on here lived in the local area? I'll be there around mid October. Would be nice if I could get info on local parts stores, shops, 4x4 clubs, etc. Also would be looking for a small house/apartment with a decent sized garage.

Post, PM, email -- email address removed --, or give me a ring 907 830 2812.

Thanks!

Nate

I live in Boise. You’ll only be forty miles from here so there’ll be plenty of options for you to choose from here if you can’t find what you want in MH.

Mountain Home itself has a lot going for it for a town its size—parts stores, etc. Housing can be a little dicey but there is a lot of building going on right now. Mountain Home itself could be disappointing to you if you are expecting it to be in the mountains. It sits in the desert, but not to worry, you can see mountains all around and only fifteen or twenty minutes north of town you can be in the mountains. You’ll only be one to two hours from some good ski areas—Sun Valley, Bogus Basin, Soldier Mountain, etc.

I love Idaho. I think you’ll like it too.

If you like hunting and fishing, you won't be far from either. The Snake River is 15 min south of Mountain Home, and there is Anderson Ranch Reservoir and the Boise River just to the north. As for Mountain Home itself, it is a small town, and a little run down IMHO. There are a few BOMB parties locally, and some guys from the NW Bombers have monthly meetings just west of Boise (in Nampa).

welcome to idaho nate

if youre 'into' your rig we have a bunch of tdr activities. meets/bomb parties/ dyno days/ drag races/sled pulls/ camp tripw/etc

keep watchin the event forum at tdr and oilburners.net for upcoming activities. dyno day and drags tomorrow Oo.

...

A buddy of mine and I were just up there buying a 98 12 valve in Hailey. We got kinda lost there. . make sure you don't have to turn around for a LONG time between Mt Home and Boise, there is no offramps for 20 miles west/northwest bound on that highway! ... i wouldn't live there even if uncle Sam payed for it. . maybe up north more.

Reminds me of a story, of course

We were going over to Burns to pick up some mustang weaner colts from the BLM wild horse facilities. It was the middle of the night and Jack was telling war stories about the jack***** school bus driver who won't pick up the kids at the station but will drive down the Buffalo road to pick up other kids. We missed the turn to Burns and ended up going all the way to Baker City and turning south. :-laf

Cumminzpowr,

I'll admit that forty miles from Mountain Home to Boise is about the longest forty miles I've ever driven! You've got to get off I-84 to see what we're noted for. Of course, we don't mind it too bad when no one wants to move here, we just smile and enjoy our well kept secret.

There are more desolate places than Burns. Ever been to Silver Lake, or Christmas Valley? Whoever named Christmas Valley must have been a Grinch. That is one desolate piece of real estate. Makes Mtn. Home look like the garden of Eden. DK.

Thanks for the help guys. How about housing, any connections somewhere?? I'd like to find a garage. Honestly if the garage had a bathroom and a place to sleep that would be enough of a "house" for me.
