Idea for installing trans temp sender

Would placing an in-line adaptor made for monitoring fuel pressure, in the rubber line portion of the front cooler line on our transmissions work for a tempersture sender? This is what I'm referring to, its available at Jegs automotive. http://www.jegs.com//cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=164259&prmenbr=361 I was thinking of cutting the hose portion in half and installing the adaptor with hose clamps. Will it work? What problems do you see with this idea? I would appreciate your thoughts. Brian

I would think that fitting would be very restrictive and the sensor will probably go in to far.
