Ideas for a center console alternative

In my 93 CTD I am re installing all the interior after straighening the cab and was wondering if there is an inproved center console to replace the hateful stock one. Withits rounded and slippery top everything slides on the floor and the only thing that I would want to put in the cupholder, that would fit anyway, is a can of beer and I don't believe in drinking and driving. Is there an aftermarket one or something from another truck with a cup holder that holds a coffee mug anybody knows about. I could make something from scatch or bolt on a panel with edges but I would rather not-Todd

Have you thought of maybe fabricating something yourself? As first genners, we have to do that a lot since most aftermarket companies think we don't exist...
