I have a 2001 Dodge 3500 4x4 automatic truck. In 2001 I purchased a DTT converter, valvebody, and other misc parts. The truck has always had a P1740 code. The problem is that my check engine light is always on. When all I wanted to do was hot rod around town I didn't care. Now I would like to drive longer distances and want to be able to know when I have a new problem! Besides trying to locate a matched set of federal computers... . what esle can I do?

Thank you for any help!

Do like I do and plaster a piece of electrical tape over it and check codes periodically. Federal pcm is the only other choice. Gotta love Ca. NOT!
