It would be nice to see some dealers start to get involved on this site as far as sales. With as many members as we have here, there has to be a Dodge dealer that would work with us and charge a standard shipping rate to wherever in the continental USA. We could have a discount number to use or have a sheet to pick options off of with prices next to it. Set prices with big discounts exclusively for TDR members. Hey they might even cut into their holdback:rolleyes:

People from different states submit the dealership you feel is giving decent deals, we fax them the idea of discounted pricing for TDR members and from the companies that reply we ask them for their best proposal and narrow it down again to a dealer or two that are willing to work with us a group, almost like fleet pricing per say. I think it could work... ... ... ..... Oo. Oo.

OTOH, I think it might backfire... but not in the way of sales... maybe in the way of Warrantee issues.

Of course, this is only my opinion and YMMV. For all I know, the service manager for the dealership where I take my truck may be on here and reading my sig! Next time I take mine in for a non-powertrain-related item, we'll see.

If there's a true interest, I can talk to my dealer in Houston (I've bought my last 6 vehicles from them and have a pretty good relationship with them).

Duane,

I dont think warranty is an issue because people are gonna do the mods no matter where they buy from and you can get your truck serviced anywhere you want to once you receive it. :)

Yes that would violate TDR policy, heaven forbid if anyone made a very modest profit, it would be more likely that this site would prefer that members pay full list price. They can't even take the time to answer my e-mail that would have saved members $200 on a purchase of a roll top bed cover. So guess what, NO DISCOUNT! I guess no policy would be better than the present policy???
