First, my ABS and my Brake light indicators are both on Constantly in my truck. Is this a serious matter and can someone point me in the right direction, as to going about fixing this problem? Secondly how long is the expected life of a lift pump in my vehicle? My thanks to you all.

Change you ABS speed sensor on the top of you rear axle diff housing. Napa should have the sensor for under $35. 00. Most of the time this fixes problem. I have had ALOT of these trucks do this and it has fixed every one. The lift pump is a good one... . I have heard of them going from 3,000- 300,000 miles. Best thing to do is get a fuel pressure gauge and monitor it. Be conscience of fuel filter and overflow valve. I got my truck and immediately replaced all three of those items and kept pump and overflow as spares. I change my filter every 8,000-10,000 miles. Hope this helps.

the fuel pumps are made by Carter Pumps. get one from a store that offers lifetime warranty. I kept good used pump as spare if I ever need to warranty the other. This has happened twice, comes in handy to have that spare

Sometimes it is just the connector on top of differential (loose or dirty) also having a brake light out will set off the abs and brake warning lights.
