Well Saturday night changed OEM shocks front and rear to RX9000. After completing that I know have ABS, Brake idiot lights on (ABS will go off for a second after starting and come back on). Also I have a Drawtite brake controller and it reads 0. 0 when brake aplied instead of like normal just a dot show power to the controller. For the life of me cannot see how I could have done something during shock change out. 2 things though, 1) could I have messed up some wiring taking down the spare and putting it back up? easier with it down for the one rear shock 2) It rained a 1/4" to 1/2"yesterday in a short period of time unusual for Arizona while doing the shock, yes truck out in rain!!!! Maybe something got wet? Rained and hailed again today so nothing could have dried out. Anybody have some ideas? Will probably let it go until next weekend as everthing else including brakes are working and see if it dries out. Anybody have this happen and have ideas? Thanks everyone for any help. Wife suggest taking to dealer and I am resisting the temptation which is not really hard to do.

Okay here is what I have. The 0. 0 on the level indication on the brake controller is gone for what ever reason. I checked every wire and connection and cannot find anything wrong. Disconnected the sensor on the rear diff. cleaned and reconnected. I have P1693 = Fault generated in the companion engine control module which tells me nothing at all does it help anyone else? I guess if no one has a place to look or tell me to try I have no choice but to have dealer look at it when he is doing the PDC battery and alternator cable connection safety recall. Gosh bad enough I have to take it in for the recall let alone this other problem!!!:{ I really don't think it was anything I did when I installed the Rancho's, just cannot see how!!! I also think it has been long enough since the rain that if something got wet it would be dry by now. Oh I checked ABS fuse in PDC also and it is okay. Looking for any suggestions?

FYI, I would have picked the Diff sensor. :) Noooooo what it turned out to be is the right front wheel sensor. :--) Still don't know how I could have goofed that sensor up in changing to the Rancho shocks but maybe I did somehow. :{ Whatever it is fixed now. Oo.

You probably stretched the wire when you chaged the shock and pulled away from sensor wheel so it didn't get a good reading. It happens all of the time.

hhuummmmmmm very interesting!

I wouldn't have thought of that. I suppose if the wire was pulled away from the wheel/sensor far enough it would set a trouble light?

Very good post Bob! Knowing me I would be sitting there scratching my a$$ er head I mean tryin' to figure it out:rolleyes:
