Ok, I've tried what you some of you have told me: Take a punch and a hammer and try and knock the nut loose so I can turn the idle screw. The nut is NOT coming lose. I can't figure out any other way to adjust my idle speed without tearing stuff away from it so I can get a wrench down there. The hammer and punch thing isn't working for me. Does anybody have any other suggestions? I think it might also make a difference when I can get injectors that actually spray the fuel in instead of drip it. Thanks for any help in advance.

The one I was told to try was to put the 10mm open end on the nut almost parallel with the screw, so 90° to the way you would use it. Then put a screwdriver through the closed end and use it to turn the wrench... Worked for me.

My jamb nut was set just right so I could get my 10MM wrench on it from straight above and turn it about 1/16 of a turn. It was just enough to break loose and then I could get it with my fingers. I used the wrench / screwdriver method to get mine back tight.
 
10mm deep well socket 1/4" drive with a 6" extention and small 1/4 rachet works real well. Once you get it loose just work it around with the 10mm wrench until its just a little too low and snug the nut down again with the socket. Might take a few times, but it's worked the best for me.
 
I also used a 1/4" drive, 10mm deep socket. I slipped a small extension into the end (the kind used to connect to a screwdriver) and over that I slipped a small combo wrench over the end. Worked great. It is a little tight but I got lots of bite and it lossened just fine.

Snap-On makes a cool idle adjustment wrench for the VE pump. It's $20, and it makes adjusting the idle a breeze. Probably not needed for just the regular backyard mechanic, but still a cool thing to have. :D
