My CTD has always idled at about 825 - 850 RPM since I bought it with 40,000 miles on it. I have heard a lot of guys say that it should be 750. Would there be any reasons for this? is this a sign of a problem? Moving over to the Mad ECM made no difference so I doubt it is anything to do with the ECM.

I believe it is fine, more curious then anything else to see if others have a higher idle speed?

Mine used to idle right between 750 and 800, but since my injector pump was replaced on warranty, it idles right around 825 - 850. If my memory serves me correctly, the idle speed is programmed into the pump's electronics and cannot be changed. My idle speed change when my pump was replaced seems to support that theory.
