i have a 370 marine pump with 197 dv's. it's loped since i put it on (ToolMan knows what i'm talking about). i've also played with the governor springs a million times, and the best setting is at its most loose setting. i've still got a lope, mostly under 1300rpms. i've noticed that it seems to get worse after i have driven it a bit or just driven it hard. anybody think that different delivery valves may help? what about fuel pressure, or the possibility of the stock fuel lines sucking air?

funny thing is that the truck runs smooth at 400rpms, but has the lope (or stumble depending) around 700,800 rpms, and can get really bad around 600 rpms with the wrong governor spring settings.

any ideas

My old 97 that had dr performance stage II ,whatever that was, loped so bad you would kill it if you werent carefull letting out the clutch.

I took it back to the dr per shop and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I trade for a 98 a olittle while later.

yeah, well, being a marine pump, i didn't expect it to run like a stocker. it sounds sound like boat which is cool for a while, then gets old. the pump also smokes blue when cold (it smokes all the time-- too much fuel trying to be injected i believe whether it's from the DV's or bigger plunger/barrels), but his pretty high timing as the egt's are cold.
