There are some statements on the edge products web page that ...

"Power level one = EZ"

" sub level 4 = jumper 2 on the EZ"

"sub levels 1-3 provide de-fueling below stock"

I understand power levels 2 to 5 add power via the vp44 pump wire.

If COMP setting 1/4 = my EZ on the second jumper, "I assume" that setting 1/5 = the third jumper... . and that there is no equivalent setting to EZ jumper 1 (because 1-3 sub level settings defuel).

What difference would I see on setting 1/1 with my current 275's or on 2/1 or 3/1 as far as smoke control on a hot day in traffic?

I would like bump up injector size to the DD2 range. eventually.

FIRST I need to make a fuel delivery system choice.

I already know I would like 5/5.

Thanks

JJ

Hey JJ, I run my comp on 1x1 almost all the time while driving around town. It does help cut down on the smoke. By the way how do you like your setup. I'm going in for a tune up at Laser Bobs in a couple weeks or so. I gotta get the billet input shaft in my truck. I'm lucky mine is holding up.

Hey Mike

I am very happy with it, the transmission has been flawless! I am getting that itch for "more" however. Asking question trying to decide what direction to go next.

As a matter of fact my neighbor 3 doors down had Laser Bob build his transmission, Edge comp, gauges and DD2's all it one visit! Must be contagious.

I drove a new 600 today... found out just how spunky my truck really is.

One of these days i'll make it to a local event and by you a beer!

JJ, the comp is great even the drag comp works even better. Part of the reason I went comp instead of the E-Z is the ability to turn it up or down and even off from the cab. I thought that the E-Z settings were as follows

#1 is same as comps 1X1

#2 is same as comps 1X3

#3 is same as comps 1X5

By tapping the wire on the pump to use the levels 2 though 5 I had a gain of about 50 or so. Every truck is a little deferent too. I have the ETH model that likes big injectors more than a box.

Here is what the 5X5 does to you:D :D

The other thing you need to do is a fuel system upgrade get those banjo's out of there and put in the -6 AN fittings and 3/8 line from tank to pump

Hey Bomber

I hear what you saying and agree a fuel delivery upgrade needs to be next, I've been looking at wildcat's stuff, Fass, and others.

I have a pusher kit new in the box, not sure I want to go that route. Wildcat has a "new products listing" for a Holly Black fuel pump kit that mounts in the stock location sounds interesting.

I would like a complete kit that I can get done on the weekend without needing to go get that one part two or three times.

I know that there are some people that have had trouble with the holly. I belive they wear the brushes out fast. I'd stay with the stock LP and then put a pusher in.

Talked to Arron at EDGE then bought a COMP

If you were wondering... ...

Comp 1x3 = EZ jumper 1, comp 1x4 = EZ jumper 2, comp 1x5 = EZ jumper 3.

COMP 1x2 = defueling below stock= pre boost fueling below EZ ability.

COMP 1x1 = defueling below stock more = pre boost fueling more below EZ ability.

I havn't tapped the ol pump wire yet... I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

Driving on 1x1 in traffic is a what I was after. I should have listened and skipped the EZ.

Damn pump wire is going to keep me up nights!

When I bought my truck it had a Holley Blue in the stock location, as well as a previously tapped wire, so someone thought it would do the job. So far I have put 20k on it I haven't seen a problem at all with it. 13 psi most of the time and I can't pull it below 10 psi no matter what I do. Granted I don't have a fueling box yet, arriving any day now, it does seem to be fine with the Van Aaken and the banjos, unfortunatly I don't know if anything else is in the truck not knowing the former owner. The black flows better than the blue, so maybe it will work if your demands of it are low running the stock lines. The pump is still designed to push not pull though, I would think it's just a matter of time til it has the same fate as the OEM unit.

Take it as you will

I had an early version VA - prior to my mods. I did everything except the transmission. There is no doubt abouit it the Comp on 1x1 is much stronger than the VA was . Now that I have a triple disk, she flat out fly's... Smoke is an issue. Even with box off - I can kill all the mosquitos in 4 counties and 5X5 raises the earth's temp 2 degrees!

I remember when I put in the blue box, I went full bombed w/ no jumpers (top fuel setting) Pulled out on the street nailed it and 5 secs later BOOOOOM!!!! blew off the turbo to intercooler line, now I want to go Edge Comp Drag...
