Anyone seen this when buying something? Bought a brand pressure washer from Home Cheapo, the pump leaked water. Thought I would follow the above title, called the #, they wanted me to drop off pressure for N/C warranty fix 20 miles away!

I would take it back to the store regardless what the paper work say. Most stores will take care of it if it is less than 30 days old.

Water heater i just installed had that. My guess is its two things. Many people will return items at the first sign of any trouble at all. Saves the stores a lot of trouble and gives the company a chance to use their technical expertise to avoid a return in the first place.

I've seen a lot of perfectly good items returned because the person either didn't install it properly (ummm you have to attach both of the wires sir, not just one) or couldn't figure out the operating instructions.

Hemi,
I had the same problem about a year ago, took it back to HD traded it for another one, used it 3 times same leak same place. Back again to HD had to get manager, net result full refund.
Good Luck Capt Phil

You guys are witnessing first hand the results of the "Home Depot Syndrome"- the race to the retail bottom. Be thankful that Bob Nardelli has left Chrysler, or he'd still be leaving his mark on the new Ram just like he did at HD. They must have wanted him gone real bad for a $210 million severance package.

As far as pressure washers are concerned, either rent one, or invest in a commercial grade belt-driven unit, and keep your brother and son-in-law away from it- let them buy the POS at HD.

AFA I'm concerned, the cheap pressure washer market is just another scam to extract $ from ill-informed consumers and leave them with no value in return.

Not just pressure washers...........

Here's a water dispenser I just bought. If it leaks or parts are broken, I guess I should call the hotline, and they'll send me the new parts and I replace them, or send me to the nearest authorized repair shop?
