ford 6 ltr cant dyno

Drove a 6.0 PSD today...

How may Ford Guys would have opted for a "Powerchoke?" It's a good thing they don't, or some would be over there - BUT - I'm sure that International is Glad they don't!

There certainly is no "wondering" for me, if I could get a ford with a cummins, I'd buy it in a hart beat. Mated behind there great 5-speed auto, seating in those big comfortable captains chairs, having ton of room inside my true crewcab, and smiling from ear to ear as I drive past those punny dodges.

Like mention above. . I would take a Ford SD w/ISB over the Dodge but not a GM/ISB. Now Toyota would make me ponder for awhile:confused:

Man, I wish Dodge could figure it out that a lot of us want a true crew cab not "true four doors" fluff.

Since the reason we have our truck is to pull our 36', 13500 lb 5th wheel RV and the wife really wants to upgrade to something significantly heavier, I would jump on a Cummins-powered F-550 crew cab in a New York minute. Put a B&W Elite-series towing bed on it, and Oo. Oo.

I'm one that wouldn't take a ford in any case. I don't care for the plastic feel of there pleather seats and don't find them very comfortable either. I don't like the dash and it's plain-ness or the hollow tin can sound you get when shutting the doors. I have no need for a truck that I have to get out and lock in the hubs manually either. I know their newest ones have automatic hubs, but still have turn-ins in case there auto system fails.

I'm not a brand war kind of guy, to each his own.

Sign me up for a Cummins Crew Cab. Can't get one from Dodge thats for sure.

Maybe the 4500 Dodge, if it happens, will be a crew cab and for those of us who pull, won't have to worry about it no more.

I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I'M READING,,,,,,,,,,,, I WOULD DRIVE A GAS DODGE BEFORE I WOULD DRIVE A FORD, CHEVY, TOYOTA, NISSAN, DAEWOO, ROLLS, BENTELY,, NO MATTER WHAT DIESEL THEY OFFERED,,,,,,,, I CAN BY A 2 TON CUMMINS,,,,,, SO I WOULD BUY A FRIEGHTLINER,,,, WITH A CUMMINS,,,,,,,, MAYBE IT IS HOW I HAVE GROWN UP,,,,,, MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE I AM A THIRD GENERATION DODGE DEALER,,,,, I AM VERY LOYAL TO CUMMINS,,,,, EXTREMELY PLEASE WITH EVERY ONE I HAVE EVER OWNED OR SOLD,,,,,,,,, BUT GAS BURNER OR OILER,,,,, IT HAS TO HAVE THE RAMS HEAD

TRIZAE,

That all souds real good, and if you are dodge thru to your underware then good for you. I'll just come over and give you the "queens wave" as I pull out of the station, and you are fillinf your gas dodge. adios muchacho

With the way diesels are being loaded down with polution controls and electronics, the simplicity advantage is gone. My next truck may very well be a big block HEMI 2500 Quad Cab with 5spd auto. I had a Ford in '94. Lah-dee-******-dah. I don't like hangin' around the service area that much.

Besides, you can get an ISBe in a Ford. With a real motor, you have to get a real truck. It's only available in the F-650 and 750. :D

Screw the Ford.

Sierra Denali with 4 wheel steering and a 6B/5600.

(turned up JUST a little) ;)

Most comfy truck I have ever been in.

Best ride of any pickup I have ever been in, hands down!

Brand loyalty is for people who buy Harleys.

I would dump the horns in a spit second if they made them like the bog rigs where you could order what you wanted for motor and trans.

Guys help me out here !!!!!!!

I wasn't asking how many of US WOULD BUY A F*&%*^%$D!!! I was trying to get a handle on how many EXISTING POWERSTROKE owners would choose a Powerstroke over a Cummins if there were a choice.

A lot of the boys on the diesel stop admit preffering the cummins just not liking the package. Dodges weird front end and lack of a big crew cab drives away a lot of business. I was glad to see they went to rack and pinion I hope it cures all the ills. I am a bit pessimistic though.

There is a company that DOES put ISBs into FORDs. don't remember what the website is but the cost of the truck with Cummins installed runs around 50K... ... . WHEN i win powerball, THAT'S on my list!!!!!!!
