Hey Guys,
It's coming around to that time of year when I have a little free cash flow to drop into my truck. Last year I bought the '06 and made a few light mods (noted in sig). My primary focus this year is streetable power and sound. I am not happy with the MBRP, just not enough growl for me, so the exhaust will need some work. I dont tow often with the truck, but when I do it's a long haul (26' Bumper Tow Travel Trailer Half way across the country, etc. ). I want to retain the ability to hook up to decent loads and not worry so much about the temps. I hot rod and blow smoke around town pretty much as a way of life, so stoplight to stoplight is primary focus. I am not trying to put down 12 second quarters, or make my friends cry when they watch me dyno.
Here are my current thoughts:
What I would really like to see is your recommendations for reaching my power and driveability goals. I would like to close out the summer in the 500hp range without really stretching any single component beyond it's capabilities.
Thanks,
JT

Here are my current thoughts:
- transmission / TC - Georends - They seem well supported by TDR emmbers and I havent seen any bad press or dissatisfaction with them at all.
- Turbo/s - BD Twins - I kinda have a fetish for a set of twins. Quick spooling is important to me and I love the turbo sound. BD's kit looks very clean and I feel confident it's an install I can complete myself.
- Fuel System - This is probably my weakest area in terms of experience and knowledge. I am thinking Fass 95 /150 and a set of 75-100hp sticks will get me to my goal. I shouldnt have a problem with the stock sp3 handling this power level will I? Do I even need the sticks?
- Bypass Oil Filter - Gotta Give a Little Love with the abuse.
- TST Powermax to stack with Smarty.
- Anything else?
