I just replaced the D70 with a D80 and I found that the u-joint is the same but the rear drive shaft is to long for the D80.

Could someone provide me the measurements of the rear driveshaft center of u-joint to center of u-joint.

Thank you

Brian

Thank you for the measurement.

I am going to hust brothers early monday.

How long did it take to get it done?

Thank you

Brian

Don't know about Hust but most places can turn them around in a day. Might see if they can bead blast it and paint it for you while they're at it - if you're so inclined. :)

It also depends on transmission. I'm not sure but I think the 5 speed and automatic are the same. The six speed is longer. (requiring a shorter driveshaft)

Brian.

Hust Brothers will probably have it done tuesday afternoon. They balance and paint it and it will look like a new one when you get it back. I had to replace the front yoke because the coating was peeling off. Nice to see a local Dodge guy post.

If there is a difference between the 5 speed and the 6 speed mayby some could add the trannie they have with a measurement.

RonA.

I usually dont post much I mainly read for research and entertainment.

How is you P7100 conversion treating you?

I would like to meet you some day and look at your set up.

Brian.

How did your measurements compare. I would tend to go with the center of hole to center of hole numbers that you get on your setup.

I have a small machine shop here in Browns Valley. Sunsweet in Yuba City is one of my best customers. So I am down that way alot.

P7100 conversion is doing well but I will be glad when this project is over.
