nice! that should make any potencial threats think twice.

YUP - Hillary and the liberals better watch out! :-laf:-laf

Sort of a dumb design in a way - in a situation where LOTS of attackers are involved (and after all, isn't that what it's FOR?), all that just *1* of them needs to do is pop the guy firing that gun - looks like an electronically aimed/operated one would be better... ;)

Can I get one in the TDR Classifieds? Maybe "Buy It Now" on Ebay. Holidays are just around the corner, you know. Problem is I don't think my wallet could keep up with it's appetite for shells. Would look cool strapped inside the my truck's bed... .

If that is the gun I'm thinking of it shoots a 7. 62 at 1000 rounds a min.

Should be good enough to cut cars into.

Actually, it has two settings (current configs. ) at 2000 RPM and 4000 RPM. They don't put amateurs behind these things in actual combat.

Lots of FIREPOWER. You still gotta AIM! The older versions of this weapon, The General Electric Gatling Gun, saw service in Vietnam. You maybe have heard of "Puff The Magic Dragon", or a "Spooky" Gun ship. On a fire mission these aircraft could lay down a hail of projectiles into the jungle that was so thick that it sounded like a heavy rain. The RRRRRRRRRROOOWWWWWW and a red streak in the sky (every tenth round a tracer) and the supersonic cracks blended into a SSSSCCCCCHHHHHHHHHH as they ripped through the jungle cover. The 7. 62 NATO cartridge is the same as the . 308 Winchester hunting round, just loaded with a Geneva Convention, non expanding projectile, antipersonell, armor piercing or tracer.

That SUV hopefully has a beefed up suspension and a turboDiesel necessary to carry the ordinance needed for a protracted firefight:-laf. A remote operation as a backup would be a good idea. The initial action needs to be a trained, combat experienced shooter. They can assess the situation at ground zero much better. GregH
