Motor carrier lady told me all miles operated count as IFTA miles, is that true?
Think of it as a tax on top of a tax. Or double taxation. , I would like to see someone from the north east post what it really costs in IFTA and tolls to run a commercial truck in some of the heavy toll areas. When I recently reactivated my Auth I never reg in any of the northeast states as I have never been able to make a profit in that part of the country. Combine that with law enforcements take on generating revinue and its something I could never make work. Im sure there are some locals who know the ins and outs and can make money up there but its just not my cup of tea :--)

Tolls

Otis

I run in NY city area NJ turnpike Del. turnpike and I can run up over $100 a day in tolls. A short trip to NY and back to Manheim PA the cheepest way I can go will be $43. 75 in tolls. If I swing by Phli. add $42

I went from Phli. to Bronks NY about 80 miles and spent over well $100 in tolls.

The only way I will run this area is if I have a full load and all my dealers know this, and I am not cheep :D

With out the tolls I could run this area for about $115 a car I charge $150 now and new dealers pay $200 and some weeks I still have more work then I can handle because no one wants to run this area.
