Ignition Key

My key will only go to on. not crank. I checked the FSM and it just tells me to go to one section and that section tells me to go back to the other. can anyone tell me how to remove the key lock so I can dee if a lock smith can repair it or ill just replace it

got it out a metal tab broke off will have new lock assembly tomorrow thanks again!!
