Ignition On Tap?

Where exactly do you tap in the back of fuse harness for ignition on? I found a fairly large wire (I believe it was pink with red stripe) that will power up on ignition. However, I don’t want to tap into something that will cause interference with the ECM or something electrical sensitive that will kill the truck.



I would be nice if I can locate the cigarette lighter from the wire cluster to tap into since it is a 20 amp. Does anyone know which one of those wires is the cigarette lighter? Where do you all tap into? Thanks for all your expert help.

I used one of the wires for the HVAC controls. But I think I'm the only person on Earth who did that.

i tapped into the pink w/yellow stripe behind the box/aka (i think? TIPM) w/my test light. . and no problems just tapping that wire for my switched power on for my egt light source... i think its the cig source. .

I tapped into the pink and white wire under the dash. I believe that is the one wire to use.
