Ignition problem

So on my 2003 2500 when I get done driving and turn the key to the off position and remove the key the steering wheel does not lock and when I open the door the truck dings at me like the key is still in or my light are on or...........

I am thinking it’s the ignition barrel. Have any of you guys had this??

Replace the electric part of the ign.switch first, it's cheap and probably solves the problem.

Did you have the same issue with the steering wheel not locking? And the ignition switch fixed it?
