Ignore List

After tiring of folks with long drawn out colorful signatures with logos, flashing lights etc. who insist on adding a sig to every post I finally tried out the ignore list. Now when I come to a post by that person it says

"This person is on your Ignore List. To view this post click [here] "

I like this feature! If you have a long sig be forewarned if you ask me a question I will not answer it.

Bill, I understand where you are comming from, I think your sig should only be used when it applys to your comments or questions that may need further discription of your rig. ... ... ... ..... Kevin

For those that have no idea where this feature is... ...



Click on the "profile" button of the person you wanna ignore, and then on the bottom (kinda hard to read) you'll see "Add to ignore list".



Another way to add names (and remove them) is goto "User CP" and you'll see "Edit Ignore List".

I've been doing this since day one.

I kind of miss the avitars, but when someones sig is 50 lines long, and the actual post was something like "Yes. " it is assinine.

Nice feature - Guess I can't use it though. If I did, all you guys would have long sigs and hope I wouldn't read your posts for illegal content

Another option is to "Not display signatures".

I like the feature too. I come here to see and learn about Cummins powered Dodges. There are a few members who don't even own one and only show up to brag about how much better their off-brands are. I don't need that. If I did I'd goto the Chevy sites.

Thanks for the support, I thought I was going to be called a crochity old guy. I tried the Not display signatures option but found that many times the sig is important when a person posts a question. I turned off avatars from the beginning.



I hope that the admin leaves the show sig default as it is now, no big deal to check the box to include your sig. If you forget just click edit on your post and add it.

Agree on the long sig. How about simply enforcing the "4" line rule.
