Hello everyone; hope all are well. My1996 IHC 4700 7.3 blows ECM fuse when key used to start. Jump starter, engine starts, truck in "limp mode". Is my ECM fried or anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.
Where is the fuse located? If in the battery box I would trace the wiring harness from the battery box to the ECM to make sure it is not rubbed through somewhere.
if its similar to the powerstroke version, I would first disconnect the fuel heater wire from the filter base as they are VERY WELL known to cause the ECU fuse to blow. Also, Disconnect the GP relay wiring and try using the keyswitch
