... . cook a hot dog on one...

From the picture it looks as if the exhaust of that turbine is going to cook the driver's hot dog  :-laf

Me thinks that it could get mighty hot in that driver's seat :--)

(Maybe I am missing something by not having a stright- on photo, but it looks as if the elbow of the turbine would be projecting exhaust towrds the driver? )

Close, yeah! I would have chosen a slightly different angle for the exhaust but it looks like he is doing alright. The exhaust is hot, don't get me wrong, but at full throttle it is probably going to his side, and over his head.

The picture is a little misleading, it looks like a single exhaust. Each engine has it's own exhaust, 45 degrees back and out, then 90 degrees up, so they are actually more inline with the rear wheels rather than the driver.

Those are some dual pipes I would love to run!

mmmmm the Rolls Royce Gnome. . . Ive got some sound clips and vids of these things fireing off and hitting full throttle.

I wonder how the power pack out of an M1 Abrams would do for a sled puller. got enough juice to yank 68+ tons around.

infact Ive used a fully loaded M1 to tow another fully loaded M1 back to the rear. that was somewhere in the neighborhood of 136 tons. but nothing is like captianing the M88 with it's V12 pullin an M1. has enough torque to make 53 tons leap
